I have patched computer, C4D, upgraded graphics card driver, I've looked all over and I can't find anything that suggests why I am having such a miserable time of it. I have read and re-read the manual, it says the clone tool should work like the painting brush but it does not. I have gone back to v18 for the time being but that's not the point I paid for v19 and I would like to use it. This has happened with any model that I've uploaded including a basic cylinder with an automated mapping and a 1024x1024px texture map that I created quickly. I get to the picker, I have "use all visible layers" enabled, the brush size appears, but NOTHING paints. Once I enable Projection Painting, it won't paint at all, neither over seams or over flat surfaces. Most often than not, it just takes forever. Clone stamp works awkwardly outside of Projection Painting mode too: it feels slow and clunky, and the "stamps" mostly appear blurred and thin even at 100% for pressure and hardness, or they are not showing up at all, or they do but if I try to undo the painting the "mistake" is still there until I reload the original texture. I can't seem to be able to do that anymore doing the exact same steps that I used to do up to v18. If I use standard 3D painting with the clone tool, when it works, there are still seams as it will only paint one side of the seam at the time, and not contiguously. Up to version 18, I used to be able to enable 3D painting, projection painting, and use the clone stamp: select one area from the existing non-procedural texture with the picker and paint over the seam to fix. It was invaluable when fixing seams in organic models. I've been using BodyPaint since version 10 to do textures for Poser/DAZ Studio. (forum seems to have eaten my first attempt at posting this)
